Keith and Maureen have been turning flea market finds into new treasures for 15 years. They love to comb through flea markets near and far for flatware and other trinkets to use in their unique creations. Keith’s eye for detail combined with Maureen’s artistic flair has led to a collection unlike any seen before.

The Boones will tell you that their business was built on “a wing and a prayer” as Rustic Attitude has been a journey of faith. They are self taught artisans who fashioned their own tools out of necessity. As a result, they use low tech tools to hammer, flatten, rivet, grind, polish, drill and bend the vintage silver-plate into their art. Ingenuity and resourcefulness have led to the creation of a variety of successful products that include spoon crosses, scrap metal spoon pendants, vintage watch face pendants, fork key chains, knife-handle posy vases, writing pens and more traditional spoon rings and bracelets.

When the Boones are not in their workshop, they are on the road forging long term friendships with their many loyal customers. The people they meet fuel their creativity and help encourage them to keep working hard, coming up with new designs. Keith and Maureen are committed to quality workmanship and creativity. Inspiration from their lives well-lived continue to be a muse and influence their Rustic Attitude.

However, they officially didn’t meet until November of 2008. What started out as a little adventure to add belt buckles to our local gift store has turned out to be a full fledged business that has grown beyond our wildest dreams! We can only hope you enjoy wearing our buckles as much as we enjoy creating them.

For those of you who know us, Princess and Butch says it all. For those of you who wonder where the name came from it was an easy decision. Our good friend Dean suggested we name it as all professional drag queens. You know, first pet, first street you lived on. For Julie that would be Princess Peach. For me, Stacy, that would be Butch 16 Avenue. So 25 years later—after our cat and dog have left us, and we have grown past our childhood,—Princess and Butch have been reborn into a labor of love with endless possibilities. We hope our buckles enhance your life, your style, and your personality as much as they have enhanced ours.
